Follow the link below to the national online training center. A number of training options are available including Fast Start training for most positions, Youth Protection training, committee challenge, safe swim defense, and safety afloat.
You will first need to set up a login account in order to get access to the system. That account then needs to be linked to your membership number so the Council can keep track of the training you have completed. You can create a login account and complete training without tying it to your membership number … but you will not receive credit for the courses until you return and provide your membership number. So, how do you obtain the ID number you will need to enter? Try one of the following:
• The ID number is on the address label of your Scouting Magazine (example: #0123456789#591 – note that the 591 is the council's number)
• On the bottom of the leader's BSA membership card
• Unit rosters available through Internet Advancement show member ID #s
• Contact a District Executive at the Scout Service Center at 435-628-5172
• Click here to open a copy of "Tips for getting Unit Leaders Trained".
